Karakalpakstan Delegation presents new business opportunities to Afghan entrepreneurs

• 27KABUL, May 12. /Dunyo IA/. A delegation from Karakalpakstan, led by the Chairman of the Jokargy Kenes Amanbay Orynbayev, visited the cities of Kabul and Mazar-i-Sharif, reports a Dunyo IA correspondent, citing with the Afghan television channels “Tolo News” and “Ariana News”.
During the visit, the Uzbek delegation held B2B meetings with representatives of Afghanistan's private sector. Amanbay Orynbayev specifically highlighted the incentives introduced for entrepreneurial activity in Karakalpakstan at the initiative of the Head of Uzbekistan and provided participants with detailed information on current support measures.
Specifically, it was noted that key tax rates have been reduced by up to 50 percent, the social tax has been set at 1 percent, and electricity tariffs for industrial consumers have been lowered by 15 percent. Furthermore, a simplified mechanism for land allocation has been introduced, while free economic zones offer tax exemptions for periods ranging from 3 to 10 years.
The head of the delegation emphasized that the policy being implemented in the country will serve as a significant impetus for the development of bilateral relations between Uzbekistan and Afghanistan.
During the meetings, positive news regarding the opening of the Karakalpakstan Trade House in the city of Mazar-i-Sharif was shared, and it was highlighted that mutually beneficial commercial agreements were signed between the entrepreneurs of the two countries.
