WASHINGTON, September 8. /Dunyo IA/. A screening of the film "Flight 101", directed by Uzbek filmmakers, was held at the Elliott School of International Affairs at George Washington University, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

The event attracted a diverse audience, including representatives from the White House, the U.S. Department of Commerce, the diplomatic corps, and the scientific and cultural community of Washington, university students and faculty, and the media.

It is worth recalling that "Flight 101" is based on the true story of Captain Zarif Saidazimov, whose flight from Tashkent to New York was caught in the tragic events of September 11, 2001, when terrorist attacks led to the closure of U.S. airspace.

At the start of the event, Ambassador of Uzbekistan Furkat Sidikov emphasized the importance of cultural exchange between countries. He noted that the film demonstrates how people show courage, fortitude, and mutual assistance in difficult situations.
