The first session of Kyrgyzstan’s newly elected Parliament (the Jogorku Kenesh) convenes on December 17

BISHKEK, December 15. /Dunyo IA/. The first session of the new composition of the Jogorku Kenesh (Parliament) of Kyrgyzstan is scheduled to be held on December 17, reports Dunyo IA correspondent, citing the Kyrgyz National Information Agency “Kabar”.

According to a resolution by the Central Commission for Elections and Referendums, Kyrgyzstan’s early parliamentary elections held on November 30, 2025 were recognized as valid in 29 of the 30 multi‑member constituencies.

In these constituencies, 87 candidates were elected to the Jogorku Kenesh and are expected to be registered as members of the new VIII convocation of Parliament.

The voter list for the early elections included over 4.29 million registered citizens, with more than 1.5 million people participating, representing approximately 36.9% turnout. Results in the 13th constituency have not yet been finalized and will require further procedural determination.
