CAIRO, July 16. /Dunyo IA/. Representatives of the Egyptian companies “Wadi El Nile” and “STIO Life Sciences” discussed with the Uzbek side the prospects for investment cooperation and the launch of joint projects in the pharmaceutical industry, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

During the meeting, Chairman of these companies, Amr Abdel-Razek, presented the activities of the enterprises and their export potential, noting the interest in developing a strategic partnership with Uzbekistan both at the business and government levels.

Company “Wadi El Nile” specializes in the production of high-tech haemodialysis equipment, components and consumables for blood purification systems. The enterprise is expanding its international presence, implementing investment projects in Saudi Arabia and planning to open a new plant in Ghana within the next two years.

“STIO Life Sciences” is engaged in the development and production of modern medicines, including painkillers and drugs for the treatment of respiratory diseases, used predominantly in emergency departments. The company's products comply with international quality standards, including ISO certificates.

Egyptian companies noted the promising nature of the Uzbek market and stated their readiness to establish joint productions. According to Amr Abdel-Razek, there is no localized production of haemodialysis equipment in Uzbekistan and the bulk of such products is imported from Türkiye, India, China and other countries.

To implement the project, the Egyptian side expressed interest in receiving information on the possibilities of locating enterprises, legislative requirements, the needs of the domestic market and the current measures of state support for foreign investors.

In addition, the representatives of the companies invited the Uzbek delegation to take part in the international medical exhibition “Pharmaconex”, which will be held in Egypt in September 2026.
