ISLAMABAD, August 10. /Dunyo IA/.  Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Pakistan Alisher Tokhtaev held talks with Habib Khan, CEO of "Khan International Investment Consortium", reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

During the meeting, Ambassador briefed Habib Khan on the large-scale reforms being implemented in Uzbekistan in recent years, the favorable investment climate established in the country, opportunities created for foreign investors, as well as Uzbekistan’s rich tourism potential.

According to Habib Khan, "Khan International Investment Consortium" has been successfully operating not only in Pakistan but also in the United States in hotel management, hospitality services and other areas.

“We plan to establish mutually beneficial cooperation with major hotels in Uzbekistan and bring the reputable U.S.-based international hotel brand Best Western to the Uzbek market. The relevant approval has already been obtained for the brand to operate in Uzbekistan", he said.

Meeting also focused on prospects for developing the hospitality sector in Tashkent region, attracting investment into real estate and the construction of modern residential complexes, establishing cooperation with "Uzvinosanoatholding", as well as implementing joint investment projects in Zomin district.

It was emphasized that cooperation in these areas will contribute to further strengthening trade and economic ties between the two countries, expanding investment cooperation and creating new jobs.

Parties agreed to organize a business mission of the "Khan International Investment Consortium" delegation to Uzbekistan in order to thoroughly study the promising projects discussed and advance them to the practical implementation stage.

"Khan International Investment Consortium" is a family-owned business group operating in the fields of real estate, hospitality, electric vehicle manufacturing, energy and construction. The consortium has implemented various business projects in the United States, the United Kingdom, China and Pakistan and currently manages more than 24 hotels.
