TASHKENT, January 9. /Dunyo IA/. A total of 336 enterprises with U.S. capital are currently operating in Uzbekistan, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

According to the National Statistics Committee, 146 of these are joint ventures, while 190 are wholly foreign-owned enterprises. The largest number of such companies is concentrated in the capital, Tashkent, where 237 enterprises are operating. Among the regions, the highest presence of U.S. investors is recorded in the Tashkent region (31 enterprises) and the Samarkand region (19). The remaining regions of the country account for around 50 companies.

The dynamics in the number of joint ventures and wholly U.S.-owned companies reflect foreign investors’ confidence in the national economy and the stability of Uzbekistan’s business environment.
