Delegation of Uzbekistan Meets Compatriots in Tokyo

TOKYO, May 29. /Dunyo IA/. On May 27, within the framework of the Resolution of the President of Uzbekistan “On State Support for the Population and Effective Organization of Charity Events on the Occasion of Eid al-Adha,” a charity event was held at the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Japan, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
The event was attended by Governor of Fergana Region Khayrullo Bozorov, Deputy Foreign Minister Olimjon Abdullaev, Ambassador of Uzbekistan Mukhsinkhuja Abdurakhmonov, as well as around 30 compatriots working and studying in Japan.
At the beginning of the meeting, information was provided on the measures being implemented in recent years at the initiative of the Head of State to comprehensively support compatriots residing abroad, strengthen close ties with them, and further reinforce national values and solidarity.
The participants were also informed about the conditions and opportunities being created by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for compatriots abroad, including efforts aimed at improving consular services, enhancing work with citizens’ appeals, and protecting the rights and interests of citizens.
During the event, views were exchanged with compatriots employed at Japanese companies on attracting investments and advanced technologies to Uzbekistan, developing joint projects, and further expanding economic cooperation between the two countries.
Following the meeting, an open dialogue was organized with compatriots, during which their opinions and proposals were heard and clarifications were provided on issues of interest to them.
