New Ambassador of Canada took up his duties in Uzbekistan

TASHKENT, February 18. /Dunyo IA /. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov, today received the credentials of the new Ambassador of Canada Christopher Duggan, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

"Today, at the MFA of Uzbekistan we received the credentials from the newly appointed Ambassador of Canada to Uzbekistan H.E. Christopher Duggan, - the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan wrote in his telegram channel. - Uzbekistan and the Central Asian countries are actively pursuing foreign policy with the region’s global role expanding. We see great unrealized potential in the ties between Uzbekistan and Canada. Wish Mr. Ambassador all the success in strengthening existing and building new bridges between our two nations".

It is worth noting that Christopher Duggan has succeeded Alan Hamson, who served as the Ambassador of Canada to Uzbekistan in 2024-2025.
