Tourism brand of Uzbekistan is being promoted in the Benelux market

• 147BRUSSELS, June 6. /Dunyo IA/. Embassy of Uzbekistan in Belgium hosted a presentation on the country's tourism potential and prospects for cooperation with the Benelux countries in the fields of tourism and aviation, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
The event was attended by representatives of the tourism industry, airlines, tour operators, relevant European institutions, and the media.
Ambassador of Uzbekistan Gayrat Fasilov delivered a welcoming speech, emphasizing that today Uzbekistan is one of the most dynamically developing tourism destinations in Central Asia, thanks to its rich cultural and historical heritage, modern reforms and infrastructure development.
Special attention was paid to cooperation with Turkish Airlines, which plays an important role in strengthening transport connectivity between Uzbekistan, Europe, and Central Asia.
During the presentation, the airline's current flights to Tashkent, Samarkand, Bukhara, and Urgench were highlighted.
Antonio Buscardini, Head of the Brussels Press Club and Tourism Ambassador of Uzbekistan to the Benelux countries, delivered a presentation titled “Uzbekistan: from Silk Road legend to global tourism powerhouse”. In it, he showcased Uzbekistan as a modern travel destination that combines the heritage of the Great Silk Road, safety, hospitality, modern infrastructure, and growing international accessibility.
Within the framework of the event, plans were also presented for the further development of tourism infrastructure, digitalization of the industry, expansion of the hotel fund, and promotion of new tourism sectors, including gastronomic, ecological, ethnographic, and MICE tourism.
Following the event, a significant potential for expanding cooperation between Uzbekistan and the Benelux countries in the tourism and investment spheres was confirmed.
On the sidelines of the presentation, meetings were held with representatives of tourism companies, air carriers and relevant media to discuss prospects for further interaction.
