Slovenia appoints a new Ambassador to Uzbekistan

TASHKENT, June 21. /Dunyo IA/. Today, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov received the new Ambassador of Slovenia with residence in Moscow Darja Bavdaž Kuret, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

"Glad to receive the credentials from the newly appointed Ambassador of Slovenia to Uzbekistan H.E. Darja Bavdaž Kuret, – the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan wrote in his telegram channel. – Discussed the main priorities of Uzbekistan– Slovenia cooperation both in bilateral and multilateral contexts. Wish Madam Ambassador great success in enhancing the significant potential of our growing relations".
Uzbekistan and Slovenia established diplomatic relations on January 16, 1995.
Career diplomat Darja Bavdaž Kuret has succeeded Branko Rakovec, who served as the Slovenian Ambassador in Tashkent from 2019 to 2024.
