Uzbekistan and Latvia discuss development of bilateral cooperation in labor migration

TASHKENT, April 15. /Dunyo IA/. The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Olimjon Abdullaev met today with Girts Jaunzems, the Ambassador of Latvia, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
According to the MFA, during the meeting, issues related to the protection of the rights and legitimate interests of citizens of Uzbekistan were discussed, as well as the development of bilateral cooperation in the field of labour migration, including the acceleration of the signing of an intergovernmental agreement and the expansion of organized labour migration channels.
The sides expressed mutual interest in maintaining regular dialogue and agreed on joint steps to further develop cooperation.
