Turkish youth delegation to visit historical cities of Uzbekistan

ANKARA, April 15. /Dunyo IA/. An educational tour of Uzbekistan’s historical cities is being organized for young activists from Türkiye as a reward, reports Dunyo IA correspondent, citing with Turkish newspaper “Balıkesir Gerçek”.
This initiative is being implemented by the Directorate of Youth and Sports of the Turkish province of Balıkesir for participants of the “On the Path of Kutadgu Bilig” educational program who have successfully completed their studies.
A group of 11 young people from Balıkesir will visit Bukhara, Samarkand and Tashkent in May 2026. During the trip, they will explore historical and cultural landmarks and will also have the opportunity to discuss joint projects, exchange programs and cooperation issues with their Uzbek peers.
It is noted that this visit, organized with the support of the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Türkiye, is aimed at strengthening ties between the youth of the two brotherly states, exchanging experience and increasing international activity.
“The Uzbekistan program creates great opportunities for strengthening youth cooperation between Türkiye and the states of Central Asia. Within the framework of this visit, it is planned to establish permanent contacts between representatives of the youth sectors of the two countries and implement joint projects”, - newspaper reports.
