Presentation of the book “Salom, Japan!” takes place in Tokyo

Embassy of Uzbekistan hosted a meeting attended by members of the “Uzbek Academic Club”, as well as compatriots living and conducting scientific research in Japan, undergraduate and graduate students, young researchers and representatives of various scientific fields, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
During the meeting, the Ambassador of Uzbekistan, Mukhsinkhuja Abdurakhmonov, emphasized that supporting compatriots, especially youth and young scientists, is one of the priority areas of the diplomatic mission's activities and remains under the constant attention of the country's leadership.
It was noted that during the event, the specific features of Japan's scientific environment were discussed, including its high level of organization, strict academic requirements and wide opportunities for young researchers. It was emphasized that the number of Uzbek citizens engaged in scientific activities in Japan continues to grow steadily.
As part of the program, the meeting was divided into three thematic blocks. In the first block, Ulugbek Abdurakhmanov, a doctoral student at Nagoya University, delivered a presentation that took the form of an interactive discussion with active audience participation. Issues regarding the development of scientific activities, adaptation to the international academic environment and the exchange of experience were discussed.
In the second block, the presentation of the book “Salom, Japan!” took place. The book contains practical recommendations and reference information on everyday, legal, consular and cultural-humanitarian issues related to living in Japan. Special attention is given to consular materials prepared by Embassy staff, which are of great importance for the adaptation of newly arrived compatriots.
In the third block, an Uzbek translation of the famous Japanese work “Gakumon no Susume” was presented. It was noted that the translation was initiated by compatriots in Japan and is of great significance for popularizing the Uzbek language, as well as expanding its scientific and cultural application.
At the conclusion of the meeting, participants emphasized the importance of such events for strengthening ties among compatriots and exchanging experience and expressed interest in holding similar meetings regularly in the future.
