“Pakistan Observer”: South Korea–Central Asia Summit to Boost Strategic Cooperation

ISLAMABAD, September 13. /Dunyo IA/. “Pakistan Observer” published an article highlighting the significance of the upcoming first Republic of Korea–Central Asia Summit at the level of heads of state, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

The publication notes that the South Korea–Central Asia format has served as a platform for political dialogue and practical cooperation for nearly two decades. The move to a leaders’ level, it says, marks a new stage focused on strategic decision-making.

The article highlights Uzbekistan’s role in strengthening regional cooperation and notes the deepening partnership between Uzbekistan and the Republic of Korea. Bilateral trade has nearly doubled over the past eight years, while around 700 Korean-invested enterprises operate in Uzbekistan and South Korean investment has exceeded 8 billion dollars.

According to Pakistan Observer, the summit could help define a long-term strategic vision for South Korea–Central Asia cooperation and expand the partnership beyond existing institutional frameworks.
