GUANGZHOU, July 12. /Dunyo IA/. Director of Research and Development at the Chinese company “Shenzhen Noblepin International”, Joe Zhou, shared with Dunyo IA his views on the outcomes of the official visit of President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Belarus on July 8–9:
— The visit of President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Belarus should be viewed in the context of Tashkent’s consistent implementation of economic diplomacy.
The goal of increasing bilateral trade to 2 billion dollars is ambitious yet achievable. Reaching this target will require a qualitative transformation of the trade structure, with a greater emphasis on value-added manufactured goods.
The practical significance of the talks lies in the substantive discussion of industrial cooperation projects in mechanical engineering, pharmaceuticals, electrical engineering, textiles, furniture manufacturing, and the agro-industrial sector. Specific agreements reached between enterprises will help establish sustainable full-cycle production chains, increase the share of value-added products, and strengthen Uzbekistan’s position in foreign markets.
It is also important that the agenda included the peaceful use of nuclear energy, which has long-term strategic significance for Uzbekistan’s energy sector. Amid steadily growing domestic electricity demand, diversifying power generation sources is becoming a critical factor for maintaining the competitiveness of the national economy.
The signing of the Declaration on the Establishment of Strategic Partnership Relations, along with a substantial package of agreements, provides the institutional framework necessary for implementing these commitments. It is expected to reduce administrative barriers and ensure a more predictable business environment for economic actors in both countries.
The outcomes of the visit reaffirm Uzbekistan’s commitment to a pragmatic foreign policy. By prioritizing economic efficiency, high-level political dialogue is being translated into tangible growth in business activity and the launch of joint manufacturing projects.
