MADRID, July 4. /Dunyo IA/. President of the Pan-European Union in Spain, Professor of Law Carlos Uriarte Sánchez, commented for Dunyo IA on the results of the state visit of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, to Georgia, which took place on July 2–3:
- State visit of the President of Uzbekistan to Georgia is of paramount importance not only for bilateral relations but also for strengthening cooperation across the entire Eurasian space. A state visit of this level demonstrates mutual trust, a commitment to open dialogue and a readiness to jointly implement long-term projects.
Decision of the Georgian leadership to honour the President of Uzbekistan with the highest state award - Order of the Golden Fleece deserves special respect. This is a clear recognition of his consistent efforts to develop international cooperation, strengthen friendship between nations, and promote mutually beneficial partnerships.
Today, under the leadership of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, Uzbekistan is becoming one of the most dynamically developing states in Central Asia, fully open to investments, economic cooperation, and humanitarian interaction. The expansion of Uzbek-Georgian cooperation in trade, transport, digital technologies, tourism and culture serves the core interests of both countries and contributes to strengthening regional stability and prosperity.
I am confident that the results of this historic visit will unlock new opportunities for cooperation between Uzbekistan and Georgia, serving as a prime example of constructive diplomacy based on mutual respect, trust and shared objectives.
