Uzbekistan presents its cultural heritage at the Navruz Festival in Baku

BAKU, March 28. /Dunyo IA/. In the capital of Azerbaijan, a cultural festival dedicated to the Navruz holiday was held within the territory of the “Icherisheher” State Historical-Architectural Reserve, organized in cooperation with the reserve's administration, featured the participation of embassies from Turkic countries, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
Our country’s Embassy presented a dignified national stand as part of this event.
Foreign and Uzbek tourists, compatriots living in this country, and thousands of local residents took part in the celebration.
On the occasion of the Navruz holiday, a national dastarkhan was presented featuring Uzbek dishes, including pilaf, flatbreads, bo'g'irsoq, fried kuk-chuchvara, chak-chak and sweets.
An exhibition of folk arts and crafts, such as ceramics, wood carving, and embroidery, was also organized. The event featured national costume shows and dance performances by Turkic peoples.
Uzbekistan's national pavilion received extensive coverage in the media and drew particular attention from television companies such as “İctimai TV”, “Baku TV” and “Mədəniyyət TV”.
