VIENNA, October 28. /IA "Dunyo"/. The newly appointed Ambassador of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Ibragimov presented a copy of his credentials to the Deputy Chief of Protocol of the Austrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Vienna, reports a "Dunyo" information agency correspondent.

During the meeting, the parties discussed issues of further development of Uzbek-Austrian cooperation in areas of mutual interest.

Deputy Chief of Protocol emphasized the readiness of the Austrian side to further expand mutually beneficial cooperation with Uzbekistan, both on a bilateral and multilateral basis.

Let us remind you that the new ambassador of Uzbekistan is 57 years old. He graduated from the Tashkent Institute of National Economy (now Tashkent State Economic University). In the diplomatic service since 1992. He worked in the central office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and foreign missions of Uzbekistan in the USA and South Korea. Before his appointment to Vienna, he was the Permanent Representative of Uzbekistan to the UN in New York. Has the diplomatic rank of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary.
