“RZD-Partner.ru”: Uzbekistan strengthens its role in global logistics supply chains amid a robust surge in foreign trade

MOSCOW, June 27. /Dunyo IA/.  Leading Russian news agency and business publication specializing in transport and logistics, “RZD-Partner.ru”, has published an analytical article titled “Uzbekistan strengthens its role in global logistics chains amid growing foreign trade”, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

Article underscores that against the backdrop of a record-breaking surge in foreign trade turnover, Uzbekistan is consistently consolidating its role as a pivotal nexus within global supply chains. Publication highlights these developments by citing the statement delivered at the “LogiTrends Uzbekistan 2026” international conference by Azizkhon Khaitbaev, Head of the Transport and Logistics Department of the Foreign Trade Directorate under the Ministry of Investment, Industry, and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan. According to the official, the rapid expansion of cross-border trade flows is generating a sustained demand for the comprehensive modernization of logistics infrastructure and necessitates a strategic optimization of the nation's transit and transport route networks.

Article places a particular emphasis on the role of digitalization as an overarching driver of operational efficiency. The implementation of the electronic permit system (E-PERMIT) and the digital transit protocol (e-TIR) has substantially accelerated freight customs clearance, reduced operational and administrative overheads and ensured absolute transparency in the issuance of permits, while significantly expediting cross-border transit procedures.

Publication notes that, on the basis of the presented data, Azizkhon Khaitbaev identified seven key growth vectors for the logistics industry through 2027:

First, expanding cargo traffic along the China - Central Asia axis; Second, actively utilizing the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route; Third, developing transport corridors toward Iran and the Gulf states; Fourth, increasing direct transit volumes through the territory of Uzbekistan; Fifth, implementing advanced digital services for international shipping operations; Sixth, providing comprehensive freight forwarding support for cross-border trade shipments; Seventh, establishing integrated management systems for end-to-end supply chains.

In conclusion, publication highlights that Uzbekistan is actively shaping the transport architecture of Eurasia, seamlessly connecting East, West and South Asia through highly efficient multimodal corridors.
