An Emirati company explores investment opportunities in the economy of Uzbekistan

ABU DHABI, May 9. /Dunyo IA/. Ambassador of Uzbekistan, Umid Shadiev, met with the CEO of “Alfa Star Global”, Abdullah Azhari, who served as Sudan’s Minister of Petroleum, Gas, and Mineral Resources from 2018 to 2022, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
“Alfa Star Global” was founded in the UAE in 2012. Its primary business activities include the trade of commodities such as crude oil, LPG, gasoline, and diesel fuel as well as jewellery and agricultural products through its division, “Alfa Star Global Trading”. Additionally, the company specializes in the supply of technological equipment for the oil, gas, and petrochemical industries, provides engineering services, and executes investment projects under “Alfa Star Global Oil Field Services”.
During the meeting, the parties held detailed discussions on attracting investment into promising projects within the oil and gas industry, housing construction, and agriculture.
Furthermore, the company representatives were briefed on the ongoing economic liberalization reforms in Uzbekistan, the favorable conditions created for foreign investment, and the measures being taken to enhance the country’s investment attractiveness.
