KUALA LUMPUR, February 2. /Dunyo IA/. A “roundtable” was held at the Embassy of Uzbekistan with the participation of a delegation from the Fergana region and the leadership of the Malaysian Textile Manufacturers Association (MTMA), reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

During the event, which was also attended by representatives of leading MTMA member companies, the textile potential of the Fergana region, the range of products manufactured, and export opportunities were presented.

In particular, MTMA representatives emphasized that Uzbek textile products can easily compete with products from other countries in the Malaysian market, not only in terms of quality but also price. They highly appreciated the quality of yarn, high-quality fabrics, and ready-made garments produced in the region of Uzbekistan.

As a result, the Malaysian side expressed readiness to actively promote and sell Uzbek products in the local market, especially on rapidly growing e-commerce platforms. An agreement was also reached to organize an introductory visit by MTMA representatives to the Fergana region in 2026.
