FRANKFURT AM MAIN, January 16. / Dunyo IA/.  The international trade fair “Heimtextil 2026” has officially opened at the “Messe Frankfurt” exhibition centre in Germany, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

“Heimtextil”, which has been held annually since 1971, is widely recognised as a leading global platform for showcasing products in home textiles, hotel, office and public space interiors as well as carpets, wall coverings and textile design.

This year’s edition brings together over 3,000 companies from 65 countries. Uzbekistan is participating with its national “Made in Uzbekistan” pavilion, highlighting the potential and achievements of the country’s domestic textile industry.

The Uzbek delegation comprises 14 local manufacturers, including “JR Cotton”, “Art Soft Home”, “BHR Spinning”, “Edelweys”, “Great Kokand”, “Urganch Bahmal”, “Osiyo Home Tex”, among other enterprises, showcasing a diverse range of home and industrial textile products.

As part of the exhibition, members of the Uzbek delegation are holding discussions with German and European business representatives, exploring opportunities to expand cooperation and supply to the EU market.

German expert Dr. Michael Borchmann noted that Uzbek products are highly competitive in the European market. He highlighted that the regularly held “TextileExpo Uzbekistan” in Tashkent underscores the strategic importance of the textile industry for the country’s economy. While Uzbekistan was previously known primarily as a supplier of high-quality cotton, it is now actively developing the production of finished textile goods with high added value.

Participation in “Heimtextil 2026” is seen as a key step in promoting the “Made in Uzbekistan” brand, strengthening international partnerships and enhancing the country’s export potential.
