HANGZHOU, September 9. /Dunyo IA/.  Investment potential of Uzbekistan was showcased during the annual session of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Zhejiang Provincial Committee (CCPIT), reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

Participants were briefed on the ongoing reforms, economic liberalization, and measures implemented to create a favourable investment climate in the country. Presentation also highlighted opportunities for developing joint regional and sector-specific projects within the framework of the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and China.

Chinese entrepreneurs were introduced to Uzbekistan's infrastructure capabilities and foreign investor support measures, including tax and customs exemptions, export assistance and preferential access to the markets of Central Asia, the CIS and the European Union.

Business circles in Zhejiang Province showed the greatest interest in projects within the infrastructure, energy, mining, agriculture and high-technology sectors.

Organizers noted that the event serves as a continuation of efforts to deepen trade and economic cooperation between Zhejiang Province and the countries of Central Asia and North Africa, potentially unlocking new opportunities for mutual trade and investment.
