ТАSHKENT, July 24. /Dunyo IA/.  Today, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a telephone conversation with King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein of Jordan, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

According to the press service of the Head of our State, King of Jordan sincerely congratulated the President of Uzbekistan on his birthday, wishing him good health and well-being, and peace, prosperity and flourishing for the friendly people of Uzbekistan.

During the conversation, it was particularly emphasized that the substantive talks held in Samarkand and the important agreements reached as a result opened a new chapter in the development of bilateral relations.

Growing interparliamentary contacts, business cooperation, and cultural and humanitarian exchanges between the two countries were noted with satisfaction.

Leaders emphasized the importance of continuing political dialogue, deepening economic and trade cooperation and thoroughly preparing for the upcoming high-level events.

Views were also exchanged on current issues on the international and regional agenda.
