ТАSHKENT, July 24. /Dunyo IA/.  Today, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a telephone conversation with the Vice President of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mansour Al Nahyan, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

According to the press service of the Head of our State, Sheikh Mansour Al Nahyan warmly congratulated the President of Uzbekistan on his birthday, wishing him good health, family well-being and great success in his responsible state activities.

Parties discussed strengthening the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and the UAE.

Successful implementation of the agreements reached during the high-level visit to the UAE in January last year was noted with satisfaction.

Since the beginning of the year, bilateral trade has grown dynamically, the total portfolio of joint projects has exceeded $20 billion, and more than 400 joint ventures are operating. From August, Etihad Airways will launch daily flights on the Abu Dhabi – Tashkent route.

The importance of continuing close dialogue and accelerating the implementation of major projects was particularly emphasized.

Parties also exchanged views on current issues on the regional agenda.
