Trade, Economic and Investment Potential of Uzbekistan presented in Pakistan's Punjab Province

CHINIOT, June 12. /Dunyo IA/. Diplomats from the Embassy of Uzbekistan paid a working visit to the city of Chiniot in Pakistan's Punjab province, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
The visit was aimed at promoting economic diplomacy and informing local business circles about the ongoing reforms in the country, conditions for foreign investors, and measures to expand export-import ties.
As part of the visit, a business forum was held at the Chiniot Chamber of Commerce and Industry with the participation of its President Fahad Naim Fakhri and members of the chamber.
During the event, a presentation dedicated to the economic potential of Uzbekistan was delivered. The participants were familiarized with business conditions, legal guarantees and incentives for foreign investors, investment opportunities in priority sectors such as textiles, agriculture, animal husbandry, pharmaceuticals, and furniture production, as well as the operations of free economic zones.
Fahad Naim Fakhri noted the significant potential for expanding trade and economic cooperation between Uzbekistan and Pakistan, increasing mutual trade turnover and implementing joint investment projects.
He also stated that Chiniot entrepreneurs are interested in exploring opportunities for implementing joint projects with Uzbek partners in the field of agriculture, including potato and rice cultivation, animal husbandry, and furniture production, as well as in organizing a visit of a Chiniot business delegation to Uzbekistan.
At the conclusion of the economic presentation, the participants were provided with detailed answers to questions regarding export-import operations, the banking and financial system, energy, tax policy, and logistics.
