Prospects for expanding trade and economic ties between regions of Uzbekistan and Germany discussed in Frankfurt am Main

FRANKFURT AM MAIN, June 11. /Dunyo IA/. The General Consultate of Uzbekistan in Frankfurt am Main hosted a meeting with the leadership and representatives of “MÜSIAD Hessen” - the regional branch of the Independent Industrialists and Businessmen Association (MÜSİAD), which unites thousands of business representatives worldwide, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

During the negotiations, representatives of “MÜSIAD Hessen” expressed interest in strengthening cooperation with the General Consulate and confirmed their readiness to participate in events aimed at developing business ties between Uzbekistan and Germany.

Parties discussed prospects for expanding the export of Uzbek products to the German market, developing industrial cooperation, attracting German investment, as well as collaboration in the fields of labour migration, vocational training, and tourism. Particular attention was paid to establishing direct contacts between entrepreneurs of the two countries, organizing joint business events and implementing investment projects.

Following the meeting, an agreement was reached to organize a study visit for a “MÜSIAD Hessen” delegation to the Tashkent and Bukhara regions in October of this year. The visit program will include meetings with representatives of government bodies, business circles, and industrial enterprises, as well as an introduction to the investment and export potential of the regions.

In addition, the parties agreed to explore the possibility of hosting a joint business forum in Germany, featuring members of “MÜSIAD Hessen”, alongside representatives from government agencies and the business community of Uzbekistan. The forum's agenda is set to include presentations on the country's trade, economic, investment and tourism potential, as well as discussions on promising areas for cooperation.

Based on the outcomes of the negotiations, both sides reaffirmed their mutual interest in further expanding the partnership, maintaining regular contacts and implementing joint initiatives to strengthen Uzbek-German relations.
