GUANGZHOU, May 5. /Dunyo IA/. A delegation led by Shukhratbek Abdurakhmonov, the khakim of Andijan region, paid a working visit to China, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

As part of the visit, the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Guangzhou organized the Uzbekistan (Andijan) – China (Guangdong) business forum.

The event brought together representatives of leading Chinese companies operating in sectors such as furniture manufacturing, automotive production, electrical engineering, logistics, construction materials, and packaging.

During a presentation delivered by the Andijan delegation, participants were informed about the region’s economic potential, key industrial sectors, the activities of free economic zones, and specially designated industrial parks created for Chinese investors.

The forum also featured bilateral meetings between business circles of both countries. Discussions focused on the implementation of prospective joint projects in Andijan, including copper processing, production of furniture, electrical equipment, automotive parts, and the establishment of a logistics hub and industrial park.

The Uzbek delegation also took part in the 37th Canton Fair, where they familiarized themselves with advanced technologies and innovative solutions. On the exhibition floor, productive negotiations were held with companies operating in the textile industry, furniture production, agriculture, and other sectors.
