FRANKFURT AM MAIN, December 4. /IA "Dunyo"/. Representatives of the pharmaceutical industry of Uzbekistan took part in the international exhibition "Food Ingredients Europe 2023" held in Frankfurt am Main (Germany), reports a correspondent of "Dunyo" information agency.

"FI Europe-2023" is a global platform for the presentation of plant extracts, food ingredients, biological additives and seasonings for the development of the pharmaceutical and gastronomic industries at the international level.

The large-scale event was attended by more than 24 thousand participants from different countries, in particular the owners of large pharmaceutical and food companies throughout Europe, biologists, tasters, flavorists, as well as businessmen and marketers. The exhibition featured more than 1,200 food industry exhibitors from all over the world.

At the stand of the German audit company IPD (Import Promotion Desk), which imports and exports natural extracts from 13 countries, including Uzbekistan, a presentation was organized of the joint venture "YUMA BIO", which produces components for the manufacture of natural and highly effective medicines. It should be noted that the YUMA BIO JV, represented by Uzbekistan at the international exhibition in the largest Frankfurt-Messe pavilion, was the only participant from Central Asia.

The Uzbek-South Korean joint venture "YUMA BIO", created in 2018, is an innovative project in this area, which has no analogues in the CIS and specializes in deep processing of local medicinal plants. The company's natural-based products are used in the pharmaceutical, food and cosmetics industries. The current annual processing capacity of Yuma Bio is currently up to 3 thousand tons of raw materials. The main part of the production is aimed at international export markets and was presented at world-wide exhibitions as "Food ingredient", "Heals ingredient Europe".

It should be noted that the production of extracts from local natural plant materials - flowers, leaves, fruits, peels, seeds, roots of medicinal plants contributes to the development of the pharmaceutical industry of our country and increasing its export potential in this direction.

Currently, the Yuma Bio company is working on deep processing of licorice root to obtain more effective and pure natural components. Also presented at the exhibition were grape seed extracts, pomegranate peel extract, elecampane root, wormwood, hawthorn extract and much more.

Following the results of the FI Europe -2023 exhibition, negotiations were held between the head of the Yuma Bio company, Farhod Kudratov, and representatives of leading international companies from France, Hong Kong, India, Poland, Spain, China, South Korea, Malaysia and others. Bilateral business contacts have been established with a number of companies. An agreement was reached to promote further cooperation with leading German companies to increase the number of domestic export products to international markets.
