TASHKENT, June 18. /Dunyo IA/. Sheikh Mansour bin Khalifa Al-Thani, Founder and Chairman of Qatar’s MBK Holding, who is participating in the 5th Tashkent International Investment Forum in the capital of Uzbekistan, shared his views in an interview with a correspondent of Dunyo IA:
— I am the founder and chairman of MBK Holding from Qatar. We are a global ecosystem builder and we invest in different countries.
One of the really important countries, as we see it, is Uzbekistan. We see how the state is being reformed by excellent leadership, and we are looking to invest in many different areas, to set up fund management, and also to attract more investment into Uzbekistan. We also try to bring a lot of different investors from different parts of the world together with us. This is what we are focused on.
The relationship between Uzbekistan and Qatar is very unique and strategic. Our leadership is really focused on supporting the building of a strategic partnership with Uzbekistan, so we try to move in the same direction.
I think that Uzbekistan has a very leading role in Central Asia. The state is showing the ability to reform and build trust and confidence. This has created a huge attraction for global investors to come and invest to Uzbekistan.
There is a lot of potential in infrastructure, especially in energy, education, healthcare, and logistics. We see a lot of very unique talent that is growing and that needs state-of-the-art infrastructure in all of these areas. This is where we focus.
