TASHKENT, July 8. /Dunyo IA/. Minister of Religious Affairs of Malaysia Zulkifli Hasan, gave an interview to the Dunyo IA correspondent, within the framework of the 1st International Forum of Islamic Civilization “The Path of Peace, tolerance and enlightenment”, taking place at the Center for Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan:
- Modern world faces numerous challenges, including institutionalized xenophobia, Islamophobia and other serious issues that require joint solutions. This is precisely why the holding of the First International Forum of Islamic Civilization is of particular importance.
Government of Uzbekistan has created a unique platform that brings together scholars, religious leaders, and experts from different countries for an open discussion of topical issues and the search for solutions based on the values of Islamic civilization. This is an important initiative that contributes to strengthening mutual understanding, peace, and cooperation.
Since its inception, Islamic civilization has been bringing the ideas of peace, justice, and unity to the world. Alongside outstanding achievements in science, technology, architecture, and culture, it has always placed a special emphasis on moral values. We are talking about justice, moderation, equality, respect for human dignity and humanism - principles that are particularly in demand in the modern world.
I congratulate the Government of Uzbekistan on organizing such a large-scale international forum. I fully support this initiative and am convinced that such a dialogue must be continued so that through joint efforts, we can promote the true values of Islamic civilization, based on peace, enlightenment and mutual respect.
