Archaeological exhibition dedicated to Uzbekistan’s cultural and historical heritage to be held in Japan in 2027

TOKYO, August 22. /Dunyo IA/. A ceremony was held at the Uzbekistan National Pavilion during Expo 2025 in Osaka to sign a trilateral Memorandum of Understanding between the Art and Culture Development Foundation of Uzbekistan and the city of Nara, and the Nara National Museum, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

The Memorandum provides for the organization of a special archaeological exhibition in 2027, dedicated to the cultural and historical heritage of Uzbekistan.

According to the agreement, a large-scale exhibition will be held at the Nara National Museum in 2027, focusing on the cultural ties along the Great Silk Road. The collaboration will expand academic, museum, and cultural heritage cooperation, showcasing unique artifacts related to Uzbekistan’s history that have been discovered in Japan.

This major joint cultural project will further promote Uzbekistan’s cultural heritage in Japan, strengthen the sister-city relationship between Samarkand and Nara, and enhance cooperation in the fields of science and museology.
