MOSCOW, September 21. /Dunyo IA/. The international theater festival “Hearts of Four – A Bridge of Friendship” will be held in Tashkent from October 13 to 20, 2026, marking the 25^th anniversary of Rossotrudnichestvo’s representative office in Uzbekistan, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

The festival will bring together theater directors and artistic directors from Russia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan. The program will feature performances, master classes and a panel discussion on repertoire policy with leading Russian theater critics.

The official opening will take place on October 14 at the Youth Theatre of Uzbekistan, where actors will present the “Maskharaboz Show” prepared specially for the event.

On the same day, the Russian House in Tashkent will host the festival’s panel discussion. From October 15 to 19, actors from the Youth Theater of Uzbekistan and the State Academic Russian Drama Theater of Uzbekistan will take part in master classes on stage speech and the acting system of Mikhail Chekhov.

The festival program will also include performances by theaters from Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Russia. On October 15, the Youth Theater of Uzbekistan will present “The Puppy,” based on stories by Leonid Andreyev and staged by the Kostanai Regional Russian Drama Theater.

On October 16, the State Academic Russian Drama Theater of Uzbekistan will host the performance “The Lonely Boat.” Later, the theater will stage the comedy “Samanishvili’s Stepmother” and host the presentation of festival diplomas to participants.

The program will conclude on October 19 with “Viy,” based on Nikolai Gogol’s novella and performed by Perm Theater “U Mosta”.
