BRUSSELS, May 8. /Dunyo IA/. Belgian media outlets “EU Reflect” and “Eurasia Focus” covered the successful conclusion of the 3rd “Lazgi” International Dance Festival in Khiva, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

The festival, organized under the auspices of UNESCO and TURKSOY, gathered more than 300 participants from 30 countries, including dance troupes, choreographers, art historians and representatives of cultural organizations. The event served as a platform for international cultural dialogue, scientific exchange, and the development of choreographic art.

According to Belgian media, the central event was an international dance competition featuring 25 ensembles from 13 countries. Winners were determined by an international jury based on criteria of technical mastery, artistic expressiveness and cultural authenticity.

The Grand Prix was awarded to Mohira Jovlieva from Uzbekistan, who received a cash prize, a diploma and a statuette for her outstanding mastery. Among the laureates were also participants from Uzbekistan, Russia, China, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan and other countries.

It is noted that the “Lazgi” festival is held every two years. Since 2022, it has been strengthening Khiva's status as an international center for cultural exchange, contributing to the preservation and promotion of the intangible cultural heritage of humanity.
