“EU Reflect” highlights modernization of Uzbekistan’s diplomatic service

BRUSSELS, January 21. /Dunyo IA/. The European analytical publication “EU Reflect” has published an article on the meeting held in Tashkent under the chairmanship of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, which focused on the activities of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Uzbekistan’s diplomatic missions abroad, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

The report notes that during the meeting, Head of our State emphasized that, thanks to Uzbekistan’s open and pragmatic foreign policy, the country’s positions on the international stage have been significantly strengthened: the network of diplomatic missions has been expanded, diplomatic relations have been established with 165 countries and strategic partnerships are being actively developed. At the same time, he stressed the need to transition to a new working format, in which diplomats focus not only on political dialogue but also on delivering concrete practical results.

The article highlights that among the key priorities are the development of economic diplomacy, growth of exports and investment, attraction of grants, expansion of tourist flows and the facilitation of legal labor migration.

The President instructed to strengthen efforts to promote national products in foreign markets, reduce logistics costs, develop cooperation with Africa and leading global universities and protect the rights of Uzbek citizens abroad.

The article also emphasizes the need to update the Foreign Policy Concept and to train a new generation of diplomats focused on achieving measurable results and effectively safeguarding Uzbekistan’s national interests.
