WARSAW, April 2. /Dunyo IA/. Polish newspaper “Eurogospodarka” has published an article about the Center for Islamic Civilization in Tashkent, which “has become a key cultural, scientific and educational complex of the New Uzbekistan”, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
It is noted that the complex, opened in March 2026, combines historical architectural traditions with modern technologies, including VR, AR and digital archives. It serves as a platform for studying the history of Central Asia and Islamic civilization in the region.
The ten-hectare center includes a new-generation museum, a library with over 200,000 volumes, restoration laboratories, a calligraphy school, and offices for international organizations such as ICESCO, IRCICA, and OCIS. The central exhibit is the 7th-century Uthman Quran, inscribed in UNESCO’s “Memory of the World Register”. The exhibition spans the pre-Islamic period, the First and Second Renaissances and the New Uzbekistan, symbolizing the Third Renaissance.
The Center actively implements educational programs, including the “1001 Inventions” laboratory for children, digital reconstructions of historical observatories, and interactive engagement with scholars. Over the years, more than a thousand unique manuscripts and artefacts have been repatriated, while scientific expeditions and international cooperation have enabled the creation of replicas of rare documents from leading world museums.
The project has received international recognition and was included in the “World's Most Beautiful Museums of 2026” list by Prix Versailles, becoming a major tourist and scientific landmark while strengthening Uzbekistan's cultural and educational influence on the global stage.
