“Eurasia Magazine”: Uzbekistan – the United States partnership takes on long-term character

BUDAPEST, February 19. /Dunyo IA/. The Hungarian publication “Eurasia Magazine” has published an article highlighting the steady and positive development of relations between Uzbekistan and the United States, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

It is noted in the article that the intensification of contacts at the highest level indicates that bilateral cooperation between Uzbekistan and the United States has entered a qualitatively new phase.

Over the past year, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has held a series of meetings and negotiations with senior U.S. officials, including high‑level engagements on the sidelines of the United Nations session in New York, covering a broad range of issues - from strategic stability and regional security to trade, economic ties and investment cooperation.

The article pays particular attention to the development of the “C5+1” format - an established platform for coordination of U.S. cooperation with the five Central Asian republics, which is increasingly viewed as an effective mechanism for advancing mutual interests. Cooperation under this framework has been expanding in areas such as energy, digitalization, infrastructure and human capital development.

Magazine notes that economic partnership is also gaining momentum: American business interest in Uzbekistan’s reforms is growing and new platforms for business dialogue are being created. In Washington, Tashkent is increasingly perceived as a reliable and predictable partner pursuing a pragmatic and balanced foreign policy.

Experts highlight that the current dynamics are laying a solid foundation for long-term strategic cooperation, serving the interests of both countries and contributing to the strengthening of stability in Central Asia.
