RIYADH, August 24. /Dunyo IA/. An article titled “Religious Cooperation between Saudi Arabia and Uzbekistan: Signing of an Executive Program” has been published in the popular Saudi electronic publication Saudi News, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

According to the article, Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Sheikh Dr. Abdullatif bin Abdulaziz Al Al-Sheikh signed a joint Executive Program in Jeddah with Davronbek Maqsudov, First Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Religious Affairs of Uzbekistan.

Document is aimed at strengthening religious cooperation, developing joint activities in the field of religious education, and promoting the values of moderation and a balanced approach.

Program provides for the organization of educational courses for imams, preachers and muezzins from the two countries, the exchange of experience in the field of religious education, as well as mutual visits by religious figures.

Particular attention is paid to cooperation in the field of serving the Holy Quran, including the provision to the Uzbek side of editions of the Holy Quran published by the King Fahd Glorious Quran Printing Complex in Madinah, as well as translations of the meanings of the Holy Quran.

In addition, the program envisages the development of modern forms of religious education and outreach, including electronic Dawah, the exchange of experience in producing audio and video materials, as well as participation in international conferences and Holy Quran recitation competitions.

According to the publication, the implementation of the program will contribute to further strengthening religious and humanitarian ties between the two countries and promoting the values of tolerance, moderation and peaceful coexistence.
