KABUL, August 24. /Dunyo IA/. Afghan television channel “TOLO news” has reported on Uzbekistan’s preparations for the 35^th Anniversary of State Independence, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

It is noted that on September 1^st, country will celebrate the Anniversary of Independence under the motto, “With a united Motherland and a united people, we will build a new life and a new future!”

Literary and artistic evenings, public festivities, as well as cultural, sporting and gastronomic events are planned as part of the celebrations.

Publication also highlights the country’s economic growth. In 2025, Uzbekistan’s GDP reached $147 billion, while exports of goods and services amounted to $33.8 billion, and the poverty rate declined to 5.8 percent.

As of August 1^st, 2026, the country’s gold and foreign exchange reserves exceeded $64.34 billion for the first time.
