“UN Journal”: Uzbekistan emerging as one of the most attractive destinations for the Relocation of Technology Companies

SEOUL, July 1. /Dunyo IA/.  International publication “UN Journal” has featured an article titled “Uzbekistan as an operational hub for echnology companies: Key figures, conditions and advantages”, highlighting the republic's fostering of a favourable environment for international IT business development, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

Publication underscores that due to a preferential tax regime, modern infrastructure, and comprehensive state support, Uzbekistan is emerging as one of the most attractive destinations for the relocation of technology companies. According to the journal, today more than 1,000 IT companies have already selected the country as their strategic operational base.

It is emphasized that “IT Park” plays a pivotal role in this process by providing corporations with a comprehensive suite of services, spanning from business registration and the opening of banking accounts to documentation facilitation and the provision of turnkey office spaces. All primary administrative procedures are streamlined through the integrated “One Stop Shop” service framework, substantially simplifying corporate market entry and operations.

Particular attention is dedicated to the “Zero Risk Program”, which provides for the allocation of fully equipped office infrastructure, partial reimbursement of recruitment and human resource training expenditures, as well as the subsidies of up to 15 percent of the payroll fund during the initial phase of operations.

According to The “UN Journal”, “IT Park” residents are exempt from corporate income tax, VAT and social tax, with employee income tax set at 7.5%. These tax benefits, combined with competitive operating costs, allow companies to allocate more resources toward business development and workforce expansion.

Three-year IT Visa enables corporate founders, investors, and IT specialists to work in Uzbekistan without a separate work permit. This provision extends to family members, providing access to education and healthcare systems, as well as the right to acquire real estate.

According to the publication's assessment, Uzbekistan is progressively transforming not only into an advantageous platform for business relocation but also into a strategic hub for international development. Driven by the robust growth of the IT and BPO sectors, combined with its highly favorable geographical location bridging Europe and Asia, the nation is steadily establishing itself as an effective operational base for servicing clients across European, CIS, Asian and United States markets.

According to the “UN Journal”, environment in Uzbekistan enables technology companies to significantly reduce administrative and financial costs while maintaining high business growth rates and facilitating international expansion.
