Uzbekistan intends to expand the list of countries with a visa-free travel regime for its citizens

MOSCOW, July 16. /Dunyo IA/. Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan will intensify negotiations with foreign states to expand opportunities for visa-free travel for citizens of the country and simplify visa procedures, reports Dunyo IA correspondent, citing with the reference to Russia's information platform “Dzen”.
Initiative is being implemented within the framework of the objectives of the “Uzbekistan–2030” Strategy. “Aktualnaya Visa” (Current Visa) campaign month has started in the MFA system, during which diplomatic missions and consular offices of Uzbekistan will focus on promoting new agreements in the field of visa policy.
Diplomatic missions and consular offices of Uzbekistan abroad will intensify negotiations with foreign partners to expand opportunities for visa-free travel for citizens of our country, simplify visa procedures, as well as introduce modern and convenient visa mechanisms”, - MFA reported.
Primary focus will be on establishing new visa-free regimes and expanding the use of electronic visas. Ministry noted that the implementation of the initiative is aimed at creating more convenient conditions for citizens' international travel and developing open cooperation with foreign countries.
