British Engineering Company explores opportunities to join Infrastructure Projects in Tashkent Region

TASHKENT, July 16. /Dunyo IA/.  Hokim of Tashkent region Zoyir Mirzaev held a meeting with representatives of the British engineering company “Arup”, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

During the meeting, primary attention was paid to initiatives aimed at developing the economy, industry, tourism and energy. In particular, the head of the region proposed to consider the possibility of creating modern tourist complexes in Chinaz district, including on the coast of the Syrdarya River and also presented a number of other investment initiatives.

Following the results of the negotiations, the sides agreed to thoroughly develop joint projects in the fields of industrial construction, development of tourist zones, energy infrastructure and the erection of major facilities, as well as to hold the next meeting in the near future.

Company “Arup” specializes in engineering design, consulting, and project management in the fields of construction, transport, energy, and water resources. Founded in 1946, it cooperates with more than 140 countries and has offices in 37 states. In Uzbekistan, the company has participated in more than 30 projects, including the tourist center in Samarkand, the Congress Hall and the “Hilton” hotel in “Tashkent City”, National Library, as well as a number of transport and energy infrastructure facilities.
