Business delegation of Cyprus holds negotiations in Tashkent

TASHKENT, July 16. /Dunyo IA/. A delegation of Cypriot entrepreneurs led by Natalia Kardash, Vice President of the Uzbekistan and Cyprus Business Association, visited Tashkent, where they held a series of negotiations, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

Visit, organized on the initiative of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Rome, brought together more than ten representatives of the business circles of Cyprus. Within the framework of the program, round tables and bilateral B2B meetings were held at the venues of “IT Park” and “Holiday Inn Tashkent City” with the participation of representatives from the fields of information technology, investment, banking, law, trade and the cosmetics industry.

Following the results of the negotiations, a number of practical agreements were reached. In particular, the companies that were part of the delegation plan to become residents of “IT Park” and assist in attracting European investors to startup projects.

Development of cooperation with the business clubs “EUROUZ” and “IT Community of Uzbekistan” is also outlined on the issues of entering the markets of the European Union, interaction in the field of ICT and working with foreign clients.

In addition, the Uzbekistan and Cyprus Business Association agreed on cooperation with the organizations “IT Alliance”, “AmCham”, “Pro Business Club” and “HR Business Partners Association”. Among the outlined directions are the promotion of the investment potential of Uzbekistan through specialized publications, the organization of regular business missions, participation in business events and the attraction of European specialists in the field of human resource management.

Cypriot side noted that the reforms being carried out in Uzbekistan contribute to expanding opportunities for private business, intensifying international cooperation and attracting foreign investment. At the conclusion of the visit, the sides also agreed to expand mutual business contacts, and to hold a return business forum in Nicosia in September.
