MOSCOW, September 27. /Dunyo IA/.  An article published on the website of Russia’s Agency for Strategic Initiatives (ASI) focuses on the opening of the permanent Centre for Contemporary Art in Tashkent (CCA Tashkent) and the development of cooperation in the field of the creative economy, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

Publication notes that the new project of the Uzbekistan Art and Culture Development Foundation brings together exhibition and educational programmes, artist residencies and research initiatives. The Centre’s inaugural exhibition, “Wisdom”, features works by Uzbek and international artists exploring the themes of spirituality, architecture and material culture.

ASI Director General Svetlana Chupsheva noted that a comprehensive creative industries ecosystem is taking shape in Uzbekistan. According to her, the new Centre serves as an example of preserving heritage while creating something new on its basis, while the two sides are actively exchanging experience and developing infrastructure to support the sector.

Article also quotes Gayane Umerova, Chairperson of the Uzbekistan Art and Culture Development Foundation, who underscored the importance of creating a platform for interaction among local and international creative communities.

Particular attention is paid to cooperation between the Agency for Strategic Initiatives and the Uzbekistan Art and Culture Development Foundation. It is recalled that the two sides signed a memorandum in December 2024 and in October 2025, a protocol on cooperation in adapting and implementing the Regional Standard for the Development of Creative Industries in Uzbekistan. Further exchange of experience is scheduled to take place in October this year in St. Petersburg as part of the Creative Economy Days.
