New Ambassador of Uzbekistan arrives in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD, October 6. /Dunyo IA/. The new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan Alisher Tukhtaev arrived in the capital of Pakistan this morning, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

Before his appointment, he served as an advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan.
After graduating from the Tashkent State University of Law (formerly Tashkent State Law Institute), he held various responsible positions within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Institute for Strategic and Regional Studies under the President of Uzbekistan, and the Administration of the President.
The newly appointed Ambassador also worked at the Association of Cotton-Textile Clusters of Uzbekistan, initially as an advisor and later as the deputy chairman.
He is proficient in English and several other foreign languages.
Alisher Tukhtaev succeeds Oybek Usmanov, who served as the Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Pakistan from 2021 to 2024.
