Ambassador of Uzbek Culture appointed in Qatar

DOHA, April 8. /Dunyo IA/. A solemn ceremony was held at the “Katara Cultural Village” complex in the capital of Qatar to present the honorary title of “Cultural Ambassador of Uzbekistan” to the General Manager of the Katara Cultural Village Foundation, Dr. Khalid bin Ibrahim Al-Sulaiti, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
The event was organized by the Embassy of Uzbekistan in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture of our country. The ceremony was attended by approximately 100 people, including representatives of the diplomatic corps and the media.
“Katara Cultural Village Foundation” is one of the largest and most prestigious cultural hubs in Doha. The complex features state-of-the-art infrastructure, including an amphitheater, an opera house, and various art institutions. It is recognized as a unique platform for showcasing cultural diversity, exchanging ideas and fostering creative collaboration.
During the ceremony, Khalid Al-Sulaiti expressed his profound respect and gratitude to the President of Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Culture, and the Uzbek people, emphasizing his high regard for the country’s rich historical and cultural heritage.
“The high title of “Cultural Ambassador of Uzbekistan” is an honor for me and, at the same time, a great responsibility. I will make every effort to further develop the cultural dialogue between our peoples”, - he noted.
Khalid Al-Sulaiti was presented with a badge, a certificate, and commemorative gifts. He also specifically highlighted that, as the head of the “Katara Cultural Village Foundation” complex, this is the first time in history he has been honored with such a title.
