NEW YORK, August 24. /Dunyo IA/. U.S. Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick has conveyed, through Dunyo IA, his sincere congratulations and best wishes to the people of Uzbekistan on the occasion of the 35th Anniversary of the country’s Independence:

- Attainment of independence is always a complex historical process. Aspiration for independence, freedom and self-determination is a shared value of every nation. Independence should never be taken for granted — it must be preserved and strengthened every day.

I am convinced that the further development of relations between our countries largely depends on direct people-to-people contacts, which enable us to better understand one another, our peoples, cultures and traditions. That is why I hope to visit Uzbekistan in the near future, to see the country firsthand, learn more about its rich culture and traditions, and witness the large-scale transformations taking place there.

I gratefully accept the copy of the recently published book “The Greatness of the Nation” (“Millat shavkati”), presented to me by representatives of Vatan Alliance Global and dedicated to the large-scale transformations and changes that have taken place in Uzbekistan in recent years. For me, this is not only a valuable gift, but also an opportunity to learn more about the contemporary history and development of Uzbekistan.

Once again, I sincerely congratulate the people of Uzbekistan on the 35th Anniversary of State Independence and wish the country new successes, peace, stability and prosperity!
