“Avrupa Times”: Economic cooperation within the Organization of Turkic States is entering a qualitatively new stage

LONDON, October 6. /Dunyo IA/. Popular British news portal “Avrupa Times” has published an article titled “Uzbekistan plays an active role in economic integration”, highlighting Uzbekistan’s growing role in developing economic cooperation within the framework of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
Publication notes that the combined economic potential of the OTS countries exceeds $2.1 trillion, while Uzbekistan’s trade turnover with the member states of the organization reached $10.8 billion in 2025.
Particular attention is paid to Uzbekistan’s initiatives aimed at moving from general agreements to practical mechanisms of cooperation. These include the establishment of the “Space of New Economic Opportunities”, Permanent Council on Economic Partnership of the Turkic States and the “Turkic States Industrial Alliance”.
Author also emphasizes the strategic importance of developing transport corridors, including the Middle Corridor and the China–Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway, as well as establishing new financial infrastructure around the Turkic Investment Fund.
Publication separately highlights Uzbekistan’s initiatives in the fields of the digital economy, artificial intelligence, and the green economy, including the proposal to develop the “Digital Turkic Corridor Concept” and establish the “Green Transformation” Consortium.
