ANKARA, January 17. /Dunyo IA/. Ambassador of Uzbekistan, Ilkhom Khaydarov met with staff of the “Arya” Vocational Qualification Center under the Vocational Qualifications Authority of Türkiye (MYK), reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

During the meeting, the issue of conducting professional qualification exams and certification in Uzbekistan for Uzbek citizens wishing to work in Türkiye and European countries was discussed.

MYK is an agency under the Turkish Ministry of Labor and Social Security, established in 2006 to create and implement a professional qualification system. Certificates of professional qualification issued by MYK are recognized by most employers in European countries and provide opportunities for employment there. In 2025, the “Arya” Center issued professional qualification certificates to 2,500 Uzbek citizens. All of these individuals were involved in the construction project of the “Akkuyu” Nuclear Power Plant.

Information was presented at the meeting about the centers prepared for conducting qualification exams in the cities of Angren and Gulistan.

It was noted that by the end of this year, a specialized training center will be opened in the Uchtepa district of Tashkent, where all conditions will be provided for holding qualification exams.

As a result of the meeting, an agreement was reached to organize exams for assessing and certifying the professional qualifications of an additional 2,000 Uzbek citizens in Angren and Gulistan, who wish to obtain temporary work at the “Akkuyu” Nuclear Power Plant during 2026 as well as to open a qualification assessment and certification center in the city of Namangan.
