Uzbekistan and IOM Mission in Poland Strengthen Cooperation on Migration and Employment

WARSAW, January 25. /Dunyo IA/. Negotiations were held between diplomats of Uzbekistan’s embassy and the head of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) mission in Poland, Livia Styp-Rekowska, with the participation of Andrew Gray, head of the IOM office in Uzbekistan, joining online, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
During the discussion, the parties addressed the participation of the Polish delegation in the Tashkent Forum on Migration and Mobility – 2026, the organization of job fairs in Poland in cooperation with the IOM mission, issues related to the application of “amnesty” for Uzbek citizens residing illegally in Poland, as well as the screening of the Uzbek film “Women’s Fate” in cinemas in Warsaw.
The head of the IOM mission expressed readiness to jointly organize job fairs with the Embassy, involving Polish government agencies and employers. The IOM mission is also prepared to provide broad information about the events through its information channels, prepare instructions in English and Russian, and offer advisory support to Uzbek migrants in drafting their résumés.
